Oil of Olé
This guac-inspired moisturizer is suitable for even sensitive skin.
Gather:

2 tablespoons of fresh avocado, mashed

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon plain full-fat yogurt

½ teaspoon lemon juice

1. Combine ingredients in a bowl.  Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
2. While you’re waiting for the mixture to chill, clean your face with a soap-free cleansing wash.  Make two mugs of green tea and put an ice cube or two in one of them.
3.Smear a thin layer of the chilled mask on your face, avoiding your eyes.  Sit back, relax for 10 or 15 minutes, and sip the warm tea.
4.       Rinse with lukewarm water.  Slowly splash your face with the cooled tea, and then rinse with water again.  Powerful antioxidants in tea help skin stay healthy.
Note: Don’t use black tea; it will stain your skin.

Colour me healthy

•Take care of the ends. The healthier your hair, the longer the colour will last, so make sure you take a trip to the salon every six weeks for a regular trim.
•Use sun cream. You should keep your hair covered up in the sunshine or use a protective cream. Water-based products are better for dyed hair than oil-based.
•Use a conditioning treatment. Coloured hair tends to be drier than usual, so you need to use a deep conditioning treatment as part of your hair care routine at least once a week.
•More water on the inside... The state of your hair is an indication of your general state of health. Make sure you drink plenty of water and fruit juices, and keep hydrated;
•.
...On the outside. You can rehydrate your hair, itself, too, using moisturising products that help the colour penetrate the whole length, from root to tip, and keep that salon-fresh shine.
•Limit the changes. Each time you change your hair colour, more chemicals are needed to achieve the desired effect, and more chemicals means more damage to your hair. So, if you want to ring the changes, try to do it gradually: your hair will thank you.

•Rinse well. Salt and chlorine can dry and damage hair, so don't forget to rinse off – or shampoo – after swimming, whether you're at the seaside or the pool.
•Hands off. You may be proud of your new 'do, but try not to keep touching it. As well as making it dirty with your hands, you could be damaging the cuticle - the outermost part of the shaft - or unconsciously harming your scalp.
•Go easy with the dryer. Don't automatically reach for the dryer every time you wash your hair. Using dryers, curling tongs, straighteners, etc. makes hair more porous – and porous hair doesn't hold the colour so well - so let it dry naturally when you can.
•Get the right shampoo. Finally, choose a shampoo designed for coloured hair and for your scalp type.

Hair conditioner myths and half-truths

Many of the people who say hair conditioner leaves their hair feeling dull or lank have not given the newer products a chance, or are simply using the conditioner incorrectly .

After conditioning, my hair feels greasy”
As long as we apply the product correctly – from mid-way down the shaft and downwards to the tip, avoiding the roots – the effect will be to moisturise the needy zones, not over-moisturise the areas of hair that don't need it.

“Conditioning leaves my hair flat with no volume”
Make sure you're using the right type of conditioner for the effect you want to achieve. There is a wide variety of products on the market, so choose the one that's appropriate depending on whether you want your hair to look sleeker, to define the curls or give body and volume etc.

“You only need to use conditioner on damaged hair”
Conditioner certainly has a restorative function, so should be used on coloured and damaged hair, but it also has a preventative function and helps protect from external factors that can cause damage – the weather, aggressive hair treatments, the hair dryer... As always, prevention is better than cure.
  • “Conditioner takes the shine away”
One of the things that conditioner will do, if applied correctly, is to close the hair cuticle – the outer layer of the hair – and make it smoother. This makes the surface sleeker and more reflective, meaning that your hair should look brighter and shinier.

Shrink Puffy Under-Eyes

                                                            Shrink Puffy Under-Eyes

Unless you sail through life without allergies, crying jags, salty foods, alcohol, or the common cold, you'll get puffy eyes. The cause is water retention; the fix can be as simple as sleeping on an extra pillow. This prevents fluid from settling under the eyes.

Cucumber

                                                            Cucumber
                                        This water-packed veggie eases swelling.
Products containing cucumber are extra-refreshing when stored in the fridge. Cold cucumber retains its temperature and keeps skin cooler longer, helping to reduce swelling

Chamomile

                                                                    Chamomile
The tiny flower calms rashes and helps soothe wounds.
Chamomile blossoms are renowned in France for their anti-inflammatory powers. They have a strong chemical constituent that inhibits oxidative stress (from sun damage or skin conditions like hives or eczema) and is palliative on irritated skin.

•6 lemons
•1 cup organic cane sugar
•6 cups cold water
•1/4 cup fresh or 1 TBSP dried lavender buds
•Ice Cubes
•Lavender Springs and Lime Slices for garnish (optional)
1.Juice the lemons to make 1 cup of juice. To extract the most juice, FIRMLY roll the lemons between your hand and the counter top before cutting in half and juicing. Place the lemon juice in a pitcher, and set aside.
2.In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the sugar with 3 cups of the water. Over medium-high heat, simmer and stir the water until the sugar is completely dissolved.
3.Stir in the lavender to the sugar water, cover, and remove from heat. Steep for 25-30 minutes.
4.Strain the lavender mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, and discard the lavender buds. Pour lavender infusion into the pitcher with the lemon juice. Add the remaining 3 cups of water, and stir well.
5.Pour into tall glasses half-filled with ice and garnish with fresh lavender sprigs and lime slices. (optional)
